Holy hills is the best way to describe this 15k run through Charlotte. Living in Charlotte myself did prepare me for what I expected on this race course but still AH! SO MANY HILLS. Otherwise it was super fun! Loved the after race party and all the fun goodies especially the hot chocolate! The medal is awesome too! It's the standard chocolate bar along with a key ring with our city's hallmark bee :)

I loved the theme this year! The medal was really fun at the end, was sparkly and spun. The course itself was ok. It was gently raining throughout the race but I actually don't mind those conditions. It was cool enough that I didn't overheat. I felt like there were a good amount of aid stations and toilets available. Didn't love the course scenery and I don't feel like there is much to do aside from walk along the waterfront in Little Rock. Organization was excellent. Support was strong even in the rain! Big race and definitely worth doing. Especially if you're doing the 50 states challenge like me!

So first of all I love Dallas. It's a great city. Tons to do and enjoy when you're not running so this location makes for an ideal race spot. I stayed in the Grand Hyatt right near the Expo and the Start/Finish lines so that made things very easy and walkable. The Expo was really nice. Lots of vendors and great swag, typical of Rock'n'Roll style. I didn't do the 5k and Remix challenge and I definitely wish I had because the Remix medal was adorable! The course is cool because you run through a lot of little sections of Dallas and it gives you a good feel for the downtown area. There are 2 bridges along the course. The first bridge is definitely a challenge but the second bridge at the end is pretty flat. I would say that this was not my favorite experience but mostly that was my own mental struggle through the heat/humidity and hills. I also did not expect this course to be so hilly!! Especially coming in from Charlotte where I'm still getting used to the hills. The aid stations were great. The medical tent was awesome at the end because they were cooling us all off with ice water rags!! It was a lifesaver!! Crowd was awesome and great spectator support. I would definitely recommend this race.

Absolutely breathtaking views! Oh wait, maybe that was the elevation :) Definitely no where near a PR on this course but spectacular views make it all worth it. I could not stop taking photos and just staring at the beautiful scenery. Of course I could not breath all that great due to the elevation but didn't bother me in the least because of course scenery. This race is a MUST DO in my opinion. A little hard to get to this race but worth it. Expo is SMALL. Probably one of the smallest I've ever been too but that wasn't a big deal. The scenery makes this race!

Really awesome race. Loved running on the greenway in S Charlotte. A bit hilly but made it fun and challenging. The medal at the end was so fun and spun! Easy parking and walking to race start. Race finished in the same parking lot so easy walk back to the car. Long line at the end of the race for the yummy food but nice atmosphere.
