EDIT - They have now quietly (in a comment to a review on their FB page) admitted that there was an error in the course between mile 1 and mile 2 resulting in an extra 800 feet distance being covered but no apology or any kind of time correction/compensation has been offered. Shameful for a $100 race !

Original review : Just ran the 2nd Half Marathon, nice race overall (expo, waves, portapotties, etc...) but hard with the hills and heat after mile 5 when the sun came out. No issues passing Marathon runners using the same course but it makes it a bit hard to get into your HM pace...

Also the distance was LONG this year (route changed from last year where it was fine at 21.1km looking at Strava) and I haven't see anyone on Strava with less than 21.5k (a GPS distance of 21.2/21.3km is the norm for an HM). Something happened between Mile 1 and Mile 2 with Mile 2 coming in at 1.85km instead of 1.61 ! Someone must have messed up on the position of the U-Turn and it wasn't placed where it should have been. Very disappointing for a "USATF certified" race...Not paying $100 again for this !
