Hot Chocolate San Francisco course was shortened to 5.9 miles from 9.3 due to flooding/high winds on the Great Highway. The race management did a great job with communication using Facebook and their website to notify participants the morning of the race. The conditions were less than ideal but many still showed up to brave the elements. The altered course was nice and the aid stations were still available with very supportive volunteers who still showed up despite the awful weather. A huge thanks to them for braving the elements. The swag was excellent with a nice sweatshirt, beautiful medal and hot chocolate mug with melted chocolate and dipping items. Overall a wet and windy race but Hot Chocolate is worth a run@!
