I had ran the Scheel's Fargo Half Marathon in 2014 and I discovered that they changed the course in 2015 and 2016 to start and end in the Fargo Dome, which honestly, was my least favorite part of the actual race.
The expo was alright, not as many vendors as I remember there being in 2014 and a lot more local businesses, which was great, but not as many big-name vendors as I would have liked.

On race day, parking at the Fargo Dome was easy, but getting down to the floor for the Race Start was not quite clear and people from the 10k and 5k were crowding nearby the entrance. I was happy that the bathrooms were indoors though.

The course was very pretty and it was great to see awesome spectators in the neighborhoods and through downtown.
I do wish we could have finished the race in downtown Fargo because that is one of my favorite areas of all time whenever I visit Fargo.

Overall great views on the course and great spectators, not a huge fan of the Start/Finish and the expo.

I absolutely LOVED the Richmond Half Marathon!!

-The expo was a bit out of the way but it was a nice expo with race and running vendors (local and national).
-Check-in/bib pick-up was great, I loved that I received a reusable grocery bag instead of a drawstring bag, so convenient.

My hotel was right near the start so no parking issues or anything. I loved the staggered start times for everyone, made it much less bottle-necked and gave people time to get to their spots.

The views of Richmond (first time visiting) were amazing, some fantastic spectators and the volunteers were wonderful.
My favorite part was the downhill finish! I went flying down that hill and I loved every moment of it. The post-race area was a nice open grassy area, I wouldn't have requested pizza as my post-race food but there were food trucks on the perimeter that had great crab cakes and other food!

I can't wait to do this race again!
