This race is part of a series of races in Texas at craft breweries. It starts and finishes at the Southern Star Brewing Co. The race is very well managed. The race started on time and wound through a subdivision across the street from the brewery. There were lots of rolling hills (more that I had expected for the Houston area). The aid station was well manned and it was nice that we passed it twice given how hot it was on race day. At the finish, you get a finishers pint glass and 4 8 oz samples of beer.

This was a really great race. It was my first time running a race by RAS, and it won't be my last. The race was very well managed... and it started right on time. The race goes through parts of Baytown near the college, some city buildings and a park (it isn't very scenic). There were multiple aid stations that were well manned. It was nice having so many and ones handing out cold towels as it was a very hot day. At the finish, they made sure to get cold water to you... and they had showers if you needed them. The after party was great with costume contest, six pack (abs) contest, and sausage eating contest.

This is a great race in rural NE Kansas. For it being out in the "boonies", it is very well attended. This race is very well organized. The facebook page is updated often with news about the race. It is a very family friendly event, but didn't seem too much so. Volunteer support on the course was great... water and aid stations were manned very well. Medal was huge, shirt was cute. The post race festivities were good... HUGE buffet, petting zoo, photo booth. I would definitely run this race again. The course has more hills than I was expecting, but they were more gently rolling hills vs. steep hills.

I liked this race. It would be fun for a girls weekend getaway. It runs along some pretty neighborhoods and along the seawall. The aid stations are well manned. Not much crowd support though. Towards the end, there are people handing out tiaras and boas. The medals are given out by shirtless hunks. You can partake in post race champagne or ginger ale. Post race party has music and some food.

This race is great. It is on the small side as far as # of participants, but the organization and support is better than some larger races I've been in. Scenery is decent... runs through the city and through a park. Hardest portion of the race is up the Fred Hartman bridge. The race supports Project Blue. Crowd support for a race this size is pretty decent.
