Just awful, awful, awful. The expo was at the Convention Center in Savannah which is on an island off of Savannah. This means it's one way in and one way out. We drove straight to Savannah from Atlanta and figured we would go to the expo first. It took us nearly two hours to get from the bridge that takes you to the island to the expo. People were getting out of their cars to walk to the convention center because the wait was so long. After I got my bib, we had to abandon our car in the convention center parking lot because the street to our hotel next door was blocked off.

The day of the race, the porta potties ran out of toilet paper and purell. I got lucky and snagged the very last of the toilet paper in my porta potty. The days leading up to the race, RNR sent emails about the unusually warm weather predicted for race day and said they were taking precautions. I pretty much saw none of those precautions and they ran out of water and cups! I ended up running with a cup in my hand from an aid station from mile 9 to the end because I at least wanted to take advantage of locals that took out their garden hoses to help us out.

There were just way too many people for Savannah to handle and the weather was poorly planned for. I definitely won't be back and will be telling my friends to avoid it.
