I ran this as part of Oiselle's Podium Project on BirdMachineCHI and we were the overall female winners. I had never done a Ragnar before and I was really impressed with how well the course was marked and how easily all the exchanges went. Some of the areas we ran through at night were a little sketchy and the parking situation at the finish line caused us to miss our last runner finishing, but otherwise I enjoyed the experience.

This race is certified on a crushed gravel rails to trails course so it is a great place to run a PR! It's and out and back so you get to see other runners and give them a high five on your way back. Late April weather in Missouri can be unpredictable but temps were pretty close to perfect this year. The race shirts for this race are my favorite every year. The finish medals and the awards were also awesome! You can always tell when a race director is a runner because they know how to put on a great race!

This was my 5th consecutive Boston Marathon and my fastest Boston time! Despite the cold and the rain, the aid station volunteers and crowd support were wonderful. As long as I could tuck in behind other runners (which is easy in a race with a field this large), the wind was a nonissue. The long sleeve technical tees from Adidas were great as always. I liked the expo better when it was at the John Hancock Center - this location felt very cramped.

This was my 3rd consecutive year running the Cowtown 50K. One of the best parts about this race is that you get to run with the marathon runners for almost 25 miles so you have company and you can use the marathon pacers. The race is fairly flat with a few rolling hills. The crowd support was great. As you ran through the neighborhoods, many people had set up their only mini-aid stations and music. I would definitely recommend this race!

This is a certified looped course with 4 loops being a half and 8 loops being a full marathon. I ran the 6 hour race. This was the last weekend of December and we had snow flurries during the race but I thought that was perfect racing weather for an ultra. It was nice to have lots of being to run with for my first 4 loops. It got a little lonely during the second half of the race as most other runners were finished. There was one aid station that you passed twice during each loop, and many times the teenage boys working it were not paying any attention so I'd have to stop and pick up water or Gatorade from the table myself. Other than that, if you don't mind running the same loop a whole bunch of times, I'd definitely recommend this race.
