This is a fantastic race and I've returned 7 times since I first ran here in 2007. The town of Bar Harbour is very welcoming, the organizers really know how to please runners and Acadia National Park is the perfect backdrop for great fall scenery. I really enjoy marathons of this size, about 800 to 900 participants. It's not overcrowded like the big city marathons, but there are enough people to provide competition for any pace.
