It was cold that morning. This was to be the first race for the year. Trail was icy but totally manageable. I only saw 1 person fall and that was before the race started. Beautiful area along the river to run. Niles is a great small town. They had a chili meal after the race which was scrumptious. Large variety of different chills. If you couldn't find one to suit you there must have been a problem. They offer a nice option of paying for a shirt or not. I didn't get one but they were very nice shirts. Only issue I had was the clock at the end. It was off from official time. Not sure why. I ended my race around 32:40 clock time but my official time was 33:02. So I was a little bumbed. Otherwise I highly recommend the Niles Frigid 5K. Do get the shirt.
