2 miles through downtown Manchester. This one is fairly easy - starts a bit downhill, only one real uphill (but it's right after you turn a corner so don't be surprised!). T-shirts (green of course) are tech shirts.

Millennium races are always fun and they're very comfortable running races in Manchester at this point. Pre-race hang out in the hotel to stay warm.

One mile. Downhill. In the snow after a night of drinking. Who wouldn't want to run this?!?!

If you want to PR your mile, this is the race to do it. Start at the top of the hill and run one mile down to the bottom. That's it! It's a great way to ring in the new year. Just be ready to walk back to your car at the top of the hill! :)

Each entrant receives a Millennium Running winter hat. And there's plenty of room to wait inside at the gym prior to the race.

This one was so much fun! January in New England brings snow! It starts at the Copper Door restaurant where they had tents and heaters. The course is pretty simple and everyone was just so happy having a good time.

As usual, beer tickets are part of each entry. And the support from Millennium is always great! No runner is left behind when it comes to John Mortimer and his team!

Coming from Boston I have high expectations for how a host city handles a race. Cincinnati does it right! This race has wonderful support both on the course and from race management!

The expo is huge and lots of fun. The danger is walking around too much the day before! Lots of fun swag in the race bags and in the expo.

The course itself is fun and hilly. Post-race food and festivities are under the overpass which was nice when the rain started! Also TONS of food available. And medic services were on top of things! (which I much appreciated when I couldn't walk after the race).

The only complaint I have is the shuttles back to the hotels got lost. NOT what you want when you're exhausted and in need of food and a shower!

If you want a fast, flat race this one is it!
Baystate runs along both sides of the Merrimack river in Lowell. It's not the prettiest course, but it may be the easiest (if any half marathon/marathon course can be 'easy'). The most elevation you'll get is going over the railroad bridge.

Another great part of this course is that it's very spectator-friendly. People can get to the course at any number of spots, including the Rourke bridge which allows for multiple spottings of their runners.

Both the half and the full are double-loop courses.

Nice long sleeved shirts and medals.
