Race day: starting at the mall, then shuttling back was ideal. We ended the race ocean front. How can you argue with that? I was literally at mile 6 and I thought "where in the world did mile six come from?!? I'm almost done!" This race was a breeze.

I did the half marathon. I enjoyed the festivities and the excitement. It was fun having the golf carts shuttle us from the parking lot to the expo. It's all in the details. The expo was fun. The firemen were cute. And I loved the medals shaped like a tiara. It was a great party after the event. My mom walked the 5k. She had a lot of fun. We have already signed up for the 2016 race along with some other ladies. We are ready!

This was my first half. It was great. After the race was over, I had to walk a mile and a half back to my car. While the race was great, the walk back, crossing the streets after the police had left, etc... I had to leave immediately after I was gone running so I didn't stick around to enjoy the festivities.
