The race day temperatures were unseasonably hot, so I salute Competitor Group for making quick adjustments to best accommodate the conditions.

Moving up the race start time, adding on-course support, and just being generally sensitive to the situation was a very welcomed adjustment by the event team. The community embraced the conditions as well, with church groups & other organizations setting up their own water stations, handing out water bottles & Gatorade themselves.

I really enjoyed the detail of the finisher medal complete with blinking lights.
