My overall expectation was highly met. The organization of the expo was slightly on the lower side, only because the area where the expo was held was small to house all of the runners. You had the option while registering to buy a shuttle pass (I highly recommend doing this), if you didn't at the time of registration, you were able to purchase one at the expo. This is their 3 year for this race, so I expect it to get better as it grows popularity.

The course was amazing. First off, we couldn't have had better weather. There were pace groups throughout the full and half marathon, but most runners didn't keep up with their pace groups. On to the course. The first 10k was a steady incline, not much downhill to expect (so make sure you work on your hill work). The middle between 7-16 was pretty much rolling hills, you had plenty of downhills at this point. The last 10 miles was pretty flat, on occasion you had a rolling hill but basically flat.

I studied the course map like crazy, but was still amazed with how well the course was laid out. Going through Biltmore around the house (you literally could go and touch the door!), through the vineyard (no public access), and going through trails with a peaceful stream/river to your left or right of you. Take it all in! Absolutely amazing course.

You get your results about 2-3 hours after the race finishes and your photos are ready for viewing by the middle of the week.
