This is my favorite half marathon! It is run so well, and is totally lady-friendly. The swag is catered to women, and there are frequent aid stations, which are awesome. Last year, they had water spritzing stations along the route, which was incredible. I hope they keep the same course along the lakefront path next year. My favorite race! Run this one!

I love the Shamrock Shuffle! I've run it different years, and have had vastly different weather conditions. One year we ran during a blizzard, and the following year was unseasonably hot (80 degrees), so it's a gamble on the weather. That said, it's always a gamble on the weather in Chicago, so nothing too unexpected. This is a great race for an 8K. Awesome course through the city, which is a view you don't typically get with empty streets. There is always a lot of great swag at the expo, so if that interests you, then make your move. Wicked fun race to start off race season!

Such a fun race! Regardless of your running experience level, this is a great race! There is a live cover band, and everything around is tie-dye, which is a blast to have surrounding you while you run! A quick 5K along the lakefront with a big party at the end. Way fun for an evening race!
