Well organized . . . especially considering the number of participants. Unfortunately, they do not have more of a park setting for the run or the bike. Very flat course. Wonder why the MC only announced some names as they crossed the finish line, but not others. As with other races, why do they give out medals to adults? Plus, due to a supplier issue, they gave us generic medals as we finished and they will mail the actual Naperville Tri medals to us later. Please just give us the option to either get a $5 discount or donate the money to a charity instead of medals. Thank you to all the volunteers!

Extremely hot day (91 degrees) yet the race mgmt. did not increase water stations. Considering a hospital sponsored the race, doesn't that seem strange? Website info different than subsequent emails regarding race start time and BIB pick-up time. Also, website listed 20 foot elevation change - NOT! I did 3/4 of the course the prior week and it was around 80 feet with lots of rolling hills. 80 feet isn't a lot except on a hot day!
Band was great. Most of course through forest preserve which was nice.

The last 2 miles slight uphill . . . really?! Generally a flat course; but the ending killed my quads. Nice area for a race through Busse Woods. Only issue was with SWAG - gave out thin sweatshirts that were for females. The design was quite feminine and zipper on opposite side. I will never wear it.
The personalized BIB was a nice touch.

My first half . . . and truly enjoyed it (except my feet for the following few days). Very well organized. Crowd energy - and signs - were great! Good part of course was along Fox River - scenic.
