If you are looking to run a fun, yes I said fun, Marathon, this is the one for you. This was my first marathon of many marathons to come. I decided to make this my first because it basically in my back yard. I did all my training on these trails and just had to do a race. And why not do something I've never done before and something I said I would never do. Yeah, I said early this year that I would never run a marathon, but that was before I even started running The Ice Age trails. These trails changed me as a runner and a person. The peace and tranquility on the trails is my bliss. The Ice Age trails were the perfect place for this race series. Such beautiful scenery with a mix of technical and fast trails. The number of marathoners was perfect. It left the trails wide open with plenty of space, even in the single track sections. I came across some of the most unbelievable personalities of the course, from volunteers to racers themselves. I can't wait to run another Endurance Challenge series race.

The course was very clean and maintained, from start to finish. The location at Ottawa Recreation center was perfect for parking and camping. Plenty of room for all racers, spectators, vendors, and crew. The North Face village (vendor area) was clean with everything you need as a runner and a spectator.

So, I covered pretty much everything. If there is anything else I can say about this race it's, SIGN UP NOW FOR 2015! BEST RACE EXPERIENCE EVER!
