I thoroughly enjoyed this race, especially as a fan of the show. The expo the day before the race gave you access to past contestants, which was really neat. Unfortunately, due to the weather, a much needed arrow indicating a turn blew down and no one realized until the 5k was done. The chair lift is beautiful (6 minutes long and the time counts but not the distance) but it is hard to start running again after sitting for so long. The mood is inspiring (as there are many first time runners/walkers and the focus is very much on completing vs competing. They also give completion medals, which is nice. I really liked the t-shirt, although it was not a technical shirt. I would recommend the race, just train for hills. After all, vermont ain't flat!
