Having ran in other RnR series Halfs previously (Nashville, Savannah), they set the bar very high as it pertains to organization of a race. This was our first time in Chicago and I have to say I was disappointed. Bands: Um, yeah. Isn't the RnR known for having a band at every mile? I think I counted 3, definitely not 13. The last band playing was playing a slow song when I passed them, really? Grass: Yes, we ran through grass. Distance not correct: The course was not 13.1, the end. Finish line: Having the last half mile on an long incline = fail. Smell: The smell of sewage filled the air during most of the course = yuck. On a positive note: The medal is nice.
