I've done this race 3 times, and will run it every year I qualify. But I really don't like the race itself. It's the Boston experience that makes it worth while.

It seems that everything about Boston is designed to make you have a bad race. The expo is so good that you want to spend all day walking around. The walk from the buses to the athletes village is pretty long, and so is the walk back to the start. Then there's the course itself! It's so difficult! The first couple downhill miles kill me!

But the crowds make it all worth while!!!

Do this race whenever you get the opportunity!

"A wonderful run through the desert!"

One of the best organized races I've ever run. Transportation to the start is super easy. You hop on a bus in the middle of town and it brings you to the start -- which is on top of a mountain, in the middle of the desert!

The organizers set about 100 bon-fires to keep you warm before the start. So everybody just sits around chatting. Like a pre-race party.

It's an extremely downhill race, but there are still a couple of major hills in thrown into the middle. So don't expect this to be an easy course.

A really fun post race party too! Lots of pizza and ice cream for the runners.
