Im very appreciative of the effort of the volunteers who stood out in the rain to help us along the course. The flooding and high wind made the experience and interesting and not entirely pleasant finish. But in my opinion, the management itself was very poor and made the experience that much more unbearable. There were hardly any bathrooms along the course at all. A friend of ours had an emergency situation and his responders handlers the situation incredibly poorly. They didn’t even know that there were emergency contact numbers on the back of the bib. They dropped him off at a train station and left him there to get home alone while he was weak and shaking. Finisher bags were placed in the flooded areas and recovered soaking wet with belongings ruined. I would really warn odd any marathoners from this race.
