Celebrated full marathon #25 with a 36 hour trip to Ohio from Fresno,CA solo, inspired, a bit overwhelmed by the trip cost but made it work as a explorer on a budget. The fact that gas is 3.15 a gallon definitely eased the trip expectation.

Although when planning this trip the economy was a little better so I definitely went the more frugal way to just go run the race and head back home. It was my first time running a full marathon and catching a flight three hours later so definitely a quick trip. I rarely run a race on a Saturday so that also was unique. Not knowing anyone was not a big problem as most people were definitely welcoming.

From the expo to the start to the finish line. The biggest take away I loved was how thoughtful and organized the race was especially as a tourist in a unfamiliar area.

The expo had a lot of local energy and you definitely get the military comrade of service, if your not used to that environment it could definitely be eye opening.
