Kristi 's thoughts:

Thank you to the volunteers at the start line, on the course and the finish line. I will always run this race, but I do need to throw this out there...
Two suggestions:
1. Drop the snack packs at the end. Seemed wasteful and makes more sense to keep it simple. Runners were happy with the table of QT candy for years, why change it?
2. The 60/70 mugs. Again, why break from tradition? Travel mugs are not what the fast men and women want. They want the basic ceramic coffee mug.

Change isn't bad, but more awareness of what the runners see as tradition is appreciated. Don't mess with tradition.

Kristi:

Thanks for the thoughts. Just wanted to give you some background on the items that you mentioned above.

We have had issues in the past of rationing the meals after the race especially since the 5k and 2k races finish before the 15k. We were looking for a way to keep the product consistent for each runner. We have a lot of options for the meals and this was our first try at it. Will work on improving for next year

On the mugs, I cannot tell you how many of them we have in storage for people not picking them up so we thought we would try to change things to make people notice them again.

Ask anyone that helps us organize the run and they know how much the tradition of the run means to us.

We appreciate you running!
