john 's thoughts:

This review is to register a complaint.. Love the Tulsa Run and will continue to participate. A few things that didn't work well for me.. 1. The rolling start, not good. 2. The time clock on the race route. Why didn't the race with the most participating runners have their time displayed? You gave the fewest competitive runners a 10 minute head-start, then the rest of the 99% of the participants had to run against the 10 minute head-start clock. Really sucked. 3. The snack boxes at the end really sucked.

Personally I like the Tulsa Run better when it was ran locally, but i know times are changing.. I wish the race management would consider the clean starts,, and Clear clocks for the race..

Response from bibrave:
- Snack boxes: What are your suggestions. Our goal is to improve, but we can't improve off of your comment without suggestion on how to improve.

Suggestion: If you need to pre-package,, go nuts and dried fruits (healthier than chips and cookies).
I particularly missed the fruit,, bananas and oranges we've had in previous years.

John:

Thanks for the feedback on the run. Wanted to give a few comments to your review:
- Rolling start: We can start the masters with the open field, but they would be eligible for placing in the open run awards and would dominate the age groups. We wanted to make sure that our locals didn't get pushed out of the award stand, by having national runners coming in.
- Clocks: Once runners are on the 15k route it is difficult to set clocks after this happens. We will look into the logistics of having one person at each clock to make the adjustment.
- Snack boxes: What are your suggestions. Our goal is to improve, but we can't improve off of your comment without suggestion on how to improve.

The run is still organized in Tulsa. If you would like we can discuss further over coffee at one of our outstanding local coffee houses.

Thanks for running,

Heath Aucoin
Race Director
