I ran this race as a BQ attempt as it is a “downhill course”. It really is downhill, especially at the start, to the point where it leaves your legs dead when it levels out. I even trained for downhills, but I just couldn’t prepare for the grades that you hit at the start. I also didn’t love that you run aong a highway for a big chunk of the course as it really wasn’t scenic. I didn’t get my BQ- but it turns out I was pregnant but wasn’t aware, so maybe I just was lacking some energy for other reasons. 😍
