J MacBane's thoughts:

This is a really great half marathon to run. The course starts out with some hills in the first mile, but after that it's all flat. You get to run along the shoreline for most of the race. There are a lot of people along the course helping cheer you on.

There isn't an expo to pick up your race bib. You pick it up in the local high school. You get a tech t-shirt and a drop bag. A drop bag is for you to write your bib number on and put your warmup clothes in a few minutes before the start of the race. You can pick up your drop bag at the end of the race. This is much better than having to worry about clothes you will never see again.

There are buses that take the half marathoners to the starting area. There was a bit of a wait getting on a bus, but the ride to the start was worth it. The bus takes you through more beautiful scenery with being able to see cherry tree fields and more of the shoreline.

There were plenty of post race snacks for everybody. There were multiple tents setup with tables of bananas, bagels, ice cream, pop and water.

Overall - I highly recommend this race to other runners. This race sells out really fast on the first day (I think this year it sold out in 20 minutes).
