Tiffany 's thoughts:

I knew going in that this race was on a farm so I expected the rough terrain and really it didn't bother me, it was actually pretty cool to run through corn fields and pumpkin patches.
For a 5k, the swag was great! Everyone got a really nice finishers medal and if you chose to pay extra to carry a 10lb pumpkin while you ran, making the run a little more challenging, you received two medals. The long sleeve 1/4 zip hoodie is lightwait and comfortable and everyone also received a glass of cider and a pumpkin at the finish. There was also activities at the end for kids and adults alike. Parking was also free and there was plenty of room, they did a great job of moving traffic along.
Race management could have done better with the lines though. I could not pick up my packet and bib the day prior so had to do so when I got there. In this race, you had to sign up for a heat which was smart given the number of people that participated. However, people like me, whose heat didn't start until later, were picking up their bins while the earlier heats where at the start line. Bib pick up and the race start line were so close together that they were merging into a huge cluster of people and it was hard to figure out were you should be. Next year I will definitely be picking my bib up the night prior or paying the little extra to have it mailed to me.
The only other down side was that the gentlemen announcing the runners at the start line did not instruct walkers to begin at the back of the start line. There was no running through the start, I could have gotten on the ground and crawled faster than it took me walking through the start. The first 1/4 mile was so backed up for people wishing to run.
Overall, this was a great race with great amenities and lots of fun for everyone! It was great to see people dressed up in Halloween/Pumpkin gear! I would definitely recommend this race for anyone looking for a challenge! Next year I plan on challenging myself by carrying a 10lb while I run it!
