Annie Smith's thoughts:

The best thing about this race is what you get at the end! A really cool medal, a choice of mini pie and a beer plus all sorts of other products and beverages! The race shirts are always “Thanksgiving” driven as this race is a fun one to do usually the weekend before Thanksgiving! This race is flat and scenic as you run along TC Jester Dr. views of Houston and the bayou and businesses too! You kind of get to see it all! lots of spectators typically show up and lots of families for the 1K family run that happens just after the 5K and 10K finish. The only negative that I saw was the fact that while there are course marshals and police along the route, the race is run alongside a live road. So there are cars that periodically go by you as you run. However you do have one entire lane for the race to run in. But sometimes traffic was going a little bit fast.
