I have been anti-color run for the longest because I am weird and cannot stand the texture of the powders. But... I did it and I didn't die. This is by far the best I just want to run and hang out and do my thing with no pressure kind of a race. There's a constant party going on, there are waves going every five minutes or so, no one is rushing to line up people are just hanging out taking selfies and that's awesome. The entire atmosphere is just upbeat and happy that I simply cannot describe. The awesome part was the bracelets you were given during packet pick up, you link it to your social media account and they have people everywhere through alcatel that will take your picture, tap your bracelet and it's automatically uploaded to your social media site and a copy emailed to you. More races need this!
The course was flat and basic course you get at every 5k you do at fair park so it wasn't really anything special, but the color stations added some jazz to the area. At the end you are blessed with the glitter station (my favorite part and reason for signing up) and you're handed a medal. After that you can hang out by the stage where random stuff is thrown into the audience and the big color toss is done about 10 minutes.
