This marathon really needs no introduction or explanation. It's fast, It's flat, and it is Yuuuuuuuge!!! Unless you are close to Chicago fly into town take the train to a hotel downtown and soak up all that the Miracle Mile has to offer. There are so many things for your non-runner friends and family to do that they will not be bored.

STAY OFF YOUR FEET. This is a pedestrian town and unless you are right by a subway station or bus stop you will end up doing so much more walking than you ever intended to. The train goes right under the Expo Center so take advantage of that if you are up around the finish line or North of the river area.

I highly recommend getting there at least a day or two early and saving the sight seeing for after the race. We did the donut tour the day after the race and that was an amazing way to reload the glycogen stores. ;)

Seriously this is a BQ, PR, PB kind of course so train up and be ready to throw down. I've run this 4 times and it seems to get better every time I come back.
