Alexandra 's thoughts:

This review is for the inaugural event of this race. Endeavour Racing puts on 4-5 trail runs per year in the Tampa Bay area, along with a trail duathlon and a super fun beach tri in September.

Packet pickup: A few days before the race AND on race morning. Always a breeze. We received our bib and timing chip (to be attached to your laces), along with a small goodie bag.

Race: Before the race the race director briefly goes over the route (map available at the start). Course is well marked with pink and orange bands tied to trees/branches etc. Pay close attention, or you might take a wrong turn. This is not like road running where you can follow the herd :) The half marathon consists of 2 loops of the 10k, plus a bit extra. 2 or 3 aid stations with water and Heed. The weather was awesome - 47 degrees to start, but 70 degrees by the time I finished (around 10:30 am). Beautiful wooden medal for all finishers, plus age group awards.

Post race: refeshments (water, HEED recovery), plus food (bagles, cream cheese and Nutella). Also, free massages were offered by a local massage team.

Final thoughts? Awesome race. All around.
