Alexandra 's thoughts:

The expo is tiny compared to most other races I've run, but the post-race offerings well make up for it!! Saved me a ton of money too, so I'm not complaining. Very well organized expo, packet pickup was a breeze! The long sleeve shirt is gorgeous and comfortable. Sizes seem to run a bit small but they let me upgrade from SM to Med without a peep.

Race morning : We parked very close to the start/finish because we go there EARLY. Parking is limited, keep that in mind. The race host hotels offer transportation to and from the race.

With a 6 am start you're running in the dark for at least the first 3 miles. It's an out & back course along the Indian River - beautiful views, including sunrise, which is a huge plus in my book. Elevation changes are few and gradual on long, rolling "hills", but overall it's considered a flat course. Quite a few spectators, mainly residents of the homes you're passing along the route. Very friendly folks!

The finish line: space themed photo ops, and an awesome offering of food: pizza, beer, chocolate milk, bananas, pancakes, scrambled eggs.......if you're family members are hungry they too can purchase a plate for $5.-

This race (half marathon distance) sells out within 20-30 minutes of online registration opening. Be ready. It's well worth it!
