Shelby Duff's thoughts:

A fun little run around downtown Grand Rapids and Millennium Park. This race was designed for anyone that identifies as a women.

From the SHE RUNS website " SHE RUNS Grand Rapids, (formerly Gazelle Girl,) started in 2013 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX. Over the past 10 years, thousands of women from 30 states and abroad have joined to run and walk in downtown Grand Rapids. SHE RUNS GR continues to connect women through movement, and we envision it as a key part of the transformation toward healthier living in West Michigan, and intentionally engaging historically underrepresented communities- inviting not just any She who runs, but every She who runs!
We are proud that 100 percent of the event profits will be donated to our longstanding charity partners, Girls on the Run and the YWCA of West Central Michigan."

I was pleasantly surprised with how put together this race was given that 100% of proceeds go toward Girls on the Run and YWCA of West Central Michigan. The volunteers were great, and the organizers put together a great finisher village. This run is a smaller half-marathon event. The course was great but you did loose the motivation of spectators when doing the park loop. Thankfully, I was running about as fast as some man's wife. He was biking around the whole course with his French Bulldog in a backpack. I saw him around 5 times during this loop and it helped keep the momentum flowing.
