2013 was the first time for the See Jane Run in Wichita. It was a lot of fun; I would say the most fun I had during a half marathon. From packet pick up to the end spirits are high and people are just happy. Prior to the start of the event, an aerobics warm up was conducted. The founder of See Jan Run, Lori Shannon spoke to the crowd and gave a great pre-run pep rally!
They gave two tshirts, red and green with the same logo on them. Moisture wicking and made for females, no worrying about having to size up or down.
Aid Stations where always well prepared for runners with cups ready and plenty of people to hand them out.
Course scenery was the best; it followed the Arkansas River on both sides. There was always something to look at.
Expo quality- This was a one day even, packet pick up was the morning of the race. The expo was at the end of the race. Runners received a finisher's medal (on shoe laces!), a glass of champagne and chocolates. Shopping was available for See Jane Run merchandise, jewelry and other running related items.
Distant options include the half marathon, 5k and kids 1 mile. Besides Wichita, other locations include Seattle and San Francisco Bay area. If you are more a triathlon or duathlon, they are held in Pleasanton California.
