The 10k race strated at 7:00am and the 5k started at 8:00am (which got pushed to 8:25am to accommodate the 10k finishers). The bib pickup and same day registration took place in an enclosed area. It was well organized and you got your bib assigned to you the morning of the race. The timing company had devices along the course to tell if you ran past certain areas. There was a DJ out on the course. And the inflatable start and finish arch faced the crowd. (Great idea so when pictures are taken you get the starting sign in the picture. When you cross the finish line you get the finish sign in the picture.
Medals were given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the different age groups. Age groups were in 5 year increments.
Port-a-potties were scarce. I saw only 2 bathrooms on or near the course.
The scenery was beautiful, you heard nature all around you, the course was well marked, the police closed down streets and guided traffic.
There was plenty of food and water before, during, and after the race.
