Santa's Run is a local race that is family and kid friendly race. The price can not be beat ($10 pre registration or $20 day of). If you want a shirt it's $20 (tech shirt). Pleanty of parking and port-a-potties (by the high school). There is a costume contest at 11:30 (race starts at noon). After the race there is a raffle.
The race it's self is somewhat challenging. You start by lining up by time expected to finish the race. You run about .4 of a mile downhill and make a left. Around .3 of a mile and you are hitting elevation. Once you get to the top you make a left and enjoy some downhill.
Durning miles 1.5 through 2.8 you are going up and down hills. And just as you think it is over you make a right and have one last challenge. You are half a mile from the finishing line.
At this point you have .4 of a mile climb. You are running parallel to the high school. At this point most people are huffing and puffing their up the hill.
As you reach parking lot D you make a right. You enter the parking lot and have a small semicircle and you cross the finishing line.
