This is a very well-organized race. The 5k and 10k races are held on Saturday and the half marathon and marathons are held on Sunday in downtown Santa Rosa.

The 10k course is very straight forward and flat without a lot of turns. The majority of the time is spent on a shaded bike trail. The trail is narrow, so you should plan on doing any sort of passing while you are still downtown before heading on the trail. The 10k course is not particularly scenic, but I've heard that the half and marathon courses take you through some beautiful wineries.

The race photos are free and the photographers are well-placed throughout the course to capture your smiles and hard moments. There is also plenty of water and electrolyte drinks on the course.

I've done this race twice (in 2021 and 2022) and the light zip jackets I received are my favorite pieces of race swag I've ever received.

Post-race has your usual bananas and snacks. There is also a beer festival at the end and every runner gets a free beverage. The beer festival was still getting set up after I finished so I did not stick around for that, but there were tents being set up from different local breweries along with Athletic Brewing for those who do not drink alcohol.

I think I will definitely make this race my annual end of summer 10k tradition!
