A local favorite, this race is a great one that I usually run yearly. The race is run entirely around Salem Lake on the trial and a short section along a paved greenway. The event caters to the 50K runners, but with the addition of the 25K and the 50K relay (up to 4 runners), there are various distances for everyone.
There isn't an expo associated with this race, just a packet pickup the day before at a local brewery. There is also packet pickup available the day of the race too. I was excited that they had women cut shirt this year, although the sizes were more like junior cut vs a true women's cut.
The course is marked by permanent mile markers, there are well stocked aid stations with not only water and Gatorade, but snacks too. (m and m's, pbj sandwiches, pretzels, etc.)
The price is also great for a race, under $40 for the 25K.
