Bridget Gaug's thoughts:

I ran this race the weekend after running another half marathon. My boss had received a free entry from a raffle and didn't want it to go to waste. I knew going into this that I was just going to be running it for fun and you can't beat a Halloween themed fun run!

It was pouring and chilly with some gusty winds. But that didn't keep anyone spirts down at all. People were excited and welcoming. Parking was easy and getting my bib the day of was quick. I loved that I could choose between and long and shorts sleeve shirt when I registered. I have so many shorts sleeves that a long-sleeved shirt was welcomed.

The course was easier than I had expected with no major hill that I can recall. The aid stations were not only abundant but they were energetic and amazing. Any spectators were amazing and so excited. It was such a great mix. The cherry on the top was the undertaker at the last 1/10 of a mile telling you that "the end is near." It was a great way to finish the race.

I was surprised that more people weren't waiting for the sports therapy table but that could be that I am on the slower side and they had already been there. Or the pouring rain drove people to their cars. Either way I could say I "enjoyed" my time. It was great after but during reminded me of the cobwebs that must be on my foam roller.

Overall it was a great time and a great October race!
