This year was my first time running this race. I thought the event was well organized and executed.

I picked up my packet after school on Friday. It took me one hour to get to Fleet Feet in Old Town and then 1 1/2 hours to get back home. Definitely not happy about it but all of that went away when I saw the hoodie in my bag. 🙂 It fits well and I love the color.

The weather was great on Sunday morning. The 10k and 5k began at 7am. There were corrals but don't think they were actually enforced. They weren't crowded either which was nice.

Part of the course was running on Michigan Avenue. That was my favorite part. I also enjoyed running along the lakefront but that day was windy. I still managed to do better than expected.

There was plenty of Nuun at the water stations but I remember one of them not having water ready for the runners.

The medal is awesome. There were only given to the 10k finishers.

Post race every runner got a box with food. The chicken sausage was delicious!

I love a race that gives FREE race photos. That is a winner in my book.

For sure I will be back in 2018.
