RUN CRANDIC powered by the University of Iowa Community Credit Union is a unique athletic and social event that brings the Corridor together. The route, which starts in the heart of the NewBo neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, follows the CRANDIC train line along Highway 965 through Swisher, North Liberty and into Coralville. The half marathon picks up in North Liberty and the 5K joins in Coralville. All three of the routes will end at historic Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The event kicks off with a pre-party at NewBo City Market and a post-party at Big Grove Brewery & Taproom in Iowa City.

Devin 's thoughts:

This was my 4th Half Marathon that I have done, and I'd say it was my favorite yet. With a few tweaks (that I'm not sure can be controlled) this would be a 5 star easily. None of my family was able to make it to cheer me on, and yet I felt like there were hundreds of people cheering for just me along the way, I very much appreciated that. There were so many aid stations, which was AWESOME come time for those hills! I was not a fan of having to run on sidewalks as there were SO many participants, so I ran on the road at times because people were walking and hard to get around at certain points (again, I'm not even sure this can be controlled) The volunteers were awesome and so incredibly friendly to us (shout out to the lady parking people in North Liberty at 6:30 am with the biggest smile) I loved the route, and not having to loop back around, this is the first time I've run a race like this. The only other suggestion would to be to have a bigger finish area, as much as I LOVED ending at Kinnick...it was incredibly hard to get my medal, and any post-race nutrients (I later understood this was to get medals to people who registered in time, again appreciate that!) Overall, I loved this race, and I look forward to doing it again!
