This was my first 5K experience with Run Around Scranton. I had gotten their early, but parking was difficult. Once I found a spot I made my way to the restaurant and registered for the race. They had really nice tech knit shirts that were free, so how can you go wrong there?!

As time grew near we all gathered and off we went! It started with quiet a nasty uphill climb, but then flattened out for the next 2ish miles. There was one significant downhill followed by a drastic uphill climb - had to walk that one... The Scranton Police did a phenomenal job controlling traffic and keeping us runners safe! As we ran through neighborhoods folks were on their porches cheering us on which was really great for a relatively small local run.

The runners who had finished stuck around and cheered on those finishing up. It was such a supportive group! This was a great race and I look forward to future races with the Run Around Scranton group.
