Kyle 's thoughts:

Coming from the delta of Memphis, the hills associated with this race was my biggest worry. And as the race progressed, it was apparent that the hills I was worried about were very real and warranted the extra level of training that I did. The hills were manageable, but be warned that mile 12 is an uphill climb, in the sun, so be mentally and physically prepared for that. The crowds were insane, and this was the first race that I participated in that was crowded for all 13.1 miles. To receive your medal and post race refreshments, you were herded like cattle around LP Field. Finishing on LP Field and using the concourse and other amenities may have alleviated the congestion a little bit. The 2014 medal is much better than previous years, especially the 2012 medal. That thing was UGLY! Also, this year's race shirt was better than previous years. Parking is always a nightmare in Nashville, but there is free parking available at LP Field if you get there early enough.
