Christine Guenther's thoughts:

I figured since I was flying over 4,000 miles for a half marathon, I might as well get in as many races as possible. Plus, if you did the 5K on Saturday and any race on Sunday, you got the Remix medal, and who doesn't like more bling?

Expo: open Friday from 1-7 pm and for the 5K specifically 8-10 AM on Sunday. Expo was small for RnR compared to their US expos. Some local running stores and businesses, but not much else. Pick up was easy, just remember to pick up a wrist band if you're doing the 5K and a Sunday event (though I feel like there should be a challenge option when you register and one spot for you to pick up your stuff instead of having to stop at multiple bib # stops to get your stuff). Shirts were separate and you didn't get one if you didn't pay extra for it.

Time: depends on your bib color. There were pink bibs (930 AM start) and green bibs (10:00 AM start), each with at least 7-8 corrals (pens) per bib color.

Time Limit: 1 hr.

Aid Stations: none, though they had water/food post race. Would have been nice to have something halfway in.

The course: primarily the docks and along the main city centre street. Course was flat, no hills and very flat. You got to see Albert Dock, the waterfront, strand street, a little bit of Liverpool ONE and the Beatles Statue. Finish was inside Arena and on the dark side. Medals, light food and water were there. They had medal engraving, though hard to do it when results aren't final for a few hrs.

Post race: not a big party like the Sunday Events post race party. More of a social thing if you're from the area...people catching up with friends, etc. It led into the expo, so you could go walk around some if you wanted

If you're local, a good option for you. If you're coming for the half/full from overseas, sign up for the 5K for some more bling
