Megan Vickery's thoughts:

The Rock n Roll Las Vegas half marathon is so much fun from the expo to the finish line. The expo is the biggest and best I've experienced, so many great vendors and samples. The vibe at the expo gets you pumped up for the races ahead.
The half marathon begins on the Vegas strip before sunset and as you are making your turn back towards the strip, night begins to fall and the lights take your breath away. There is no feeling that can compare to running down the Strip at night with all of the gorgeous neon lights and masses of tourists cheering you on. Running through the Arts District and Fremont you still have great crowd support. The finish line is right in front of the Mirage volcano which is consistently erupting as runners cross the finish line. The roads are a bit rough, that is the only negative I have for the race. All in all, it is a must do for any runner.
