This is a half marathon along a beautiful course. The entire race takes place on the American River bike path. Which means a lot of trees and a flowing river. This course is very flat overall, there are a few bike ramps you have to run up that are pretty steep, by they are very short. My only gripe about this race is that it was so hot. It's not something that the race directors can control (they already start the race at 7:15am), but despite all of the trees along the course, there was barely any shade. The sun was in front of us or behind us for most of the race and the trees where on the sides. See the problem.
