New Course for 2017 running through the Town of Palm Beach for first time in event's 14 year history! Also new is turnaround at Manatee Lagoon at north end of course. Race is fast, flat and waterside for much of the race. Strong sponsorship from Fitteam and Jupiter Medical Center insure that this race will be first-class as you would expect from the Palm Beaches! "Come for the Race but Stay for the Party" with fireworks post race (5K) on Friday night and pre-race concert and fireworks Saturday night to get you pumped for Sunday morning's half or Full Marathon! We hope to see you in December!

Sylvia 's thoughts:

As the Team Captain, I was informed at pickup packet that there would be no transportation provided for the 3rd relay exchange. It was up to our team to coordinate those logistics. This is nothing like the previous relays (at this race in previous years or others I have done - Donna Marathon in Jacksonville). The website was not user-friendly and the tracking alerts were not easily accessible or updating in real-time. To this day, we do not have official results for the relay teams. The new course was great through Palm Beach BUT there were not enough water stations given the heat. Even at the relay exchanges, there was nothing but water and Gatorade for a relay finisher. You'd have to walk back to the finish line and wait in long lines to refuel. Lines for the massages were short though!

Sylvia,
the transportation regarding the Relay was in the Athlete Guide sent out advance week with all Relay info in it. Sorry if you and your teammates didn't check that first and it became a surpirse. We had 17 water stations which should be ample for a 75 degree day, that started at 64 degrees in the morning, but thank you and we will add as many as we can for next year. We did not turn away any water station charities and in fact a few backed out at the last minute. There were fruit and granola bars on course at water station (as well as Gels) but perhaps not at the Relay checkpoint you were at, so will work on that for the future. thanks for running!
