Jenn 's thoughts:

This was my 2nd race with Ultimate Racing Inc. I had a lot of fun, and I would definitely recommend this race.

Positives
-Parking: The race starts and ends in the shopping center by Bartram Park. Since it was so early on a Saturday, there was a TON of free parking available. I was 30 seconds from the start/finish line. You can't ask for better than that.
-Swag: All runners got a medal and a cotton t-shirt. You received a bottle of water when you crossed the finish line. There were a bunch of sponsor tables giving out random things, like water bottles, bubbles, and rubber ducks.
-Race size: Very small, which I like. Races like this are great because runners who are typically middle of the pack (like myself) can place. This year's race was the same day as the Run for the Pies, which is the BIG 5K put on by 1st Place Sports. This race may have had a larger turnout if the two weren't scheduled for the same day.
-Course difficulty: Flat, flat, flat. It also matched perfectly as 3.1 with my Garmin, which a lot of races in town don't do (chasing a PR and ending up running 3.2 is kind of a heartbreaker)
-Support: Not so much along the course, but the DJ announcing runners as they finished was very lively.
-Race theme: SO much fun. There were a lot of awesome costumes, and people really got into it.
-Charity: This race supported Neighbor To Family, which works in the foster care system to keep siblings together. Having a family race was the perfect way to promote this cause.

Negatives
-Schedule: The start time for the 5K was listed as 8:30. I arrived at 8:15, and as I was walking to the start line, they were suddenly rushing us over for an 8:20 start. I've never had a race start earlier than it was supposed to, but I'm just glad I didn't have to literally run to the start.
-Weather: This wasn't the fault of race management, but it was extremely muggy and gross out. I prefer for summer races to start as early as possible.
