I enjoyed running the Moose on the Loose Half. Parts of the course are running through lovely park space and well kept, well worn trails - half were doing loops through an adjacent industrial park type area.
Parking/Race Access - It was pretty easy getting settled and parked at the race. Ample parking and kind volunteers to ask questions of.
Start Line - The start line was well manned. Although this was a relatively small race, the start was pretty quick.
Course - I doubt we ran the risk of seeing any moose on the course, but the parts that were in the woods were lovely and enjoyable. The finish line announcer was great and the finish in the stadium felt great.
Post-Race - The post-race food was pretty minimal. It felt like more communal shared food than the standard post-race fair that you get at many races.
Overall, the race isn't necessarily one to write home about but the small size and kind volunteers made it quite memorable. I would recommend this to a friend!
