I signed up for this race at the post race celebration of a different event. I think we received discount pricing but I can't be sure, we did however get an extra t shirt which was nicer.. And the actual event shirt is really soft and I still wear even now. Packet pickup was at a store in Buckhead, and I was among the first there so I got a free pair of gloves (which have been great for other cold races). Parking at and around piedmont park can be expensive or awful so plan accordingly for anything you do there. We took uber. It was cold and the ground was muddy so the entire race was on paved surfaces. This is the only race I don't wear headphones for because high school drum lines come out and provide music for the length of the course. Somehow it also makes me run faster because I beat my 5k PR by several minutes. There's entertainment provided before and after but I can't comment on it because we didn't stick around. Because this race is USATF certified it is a great and fast qualifier for Peachtree Road Race corrals!
