I have created a running website named www.askrunguy.com based on having run over 100 half marathons, including all fifty US states and several other countries; and several full marathons, with a goal of running all six World Major marathons. Below is a template for comments for my rating each race:
Race: Med City half marathon 2016 Rochester, MN
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved roads around parks and neighborhoods in Rochester, MN
Organization (Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Very good. Adequate expo and on-course volunteers
Support (fans, music on course): Almost nobody on course. Rural, farm fields and pastures
Course Scenery: Nice rural scenery –
Course Difficulty: Just a bit challenging due to hills
Weather / Temperature: Can be quite warm and humid
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Not much to see or do around Rochester, MN
Logistics (Getting to the race site): 1-1.5 hours south of Minneapolis airport
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Nice medals for multiple races, nice t-shirts, age group winner medals
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Sufficient. Good food options after the race.
I provide running and racing resources for all levels of runners at www.askrunguy.com. I also share information that I believe is interesting and helpful to the running community. I encourage you to visit www.askrunguy.com
